This canyon had peeked my interest for years. It is in the cedar mesa sandstone layer, similar to Happy Canyon much further up the Dirty Devil as well as Duckett Slot and other canyons nearby that are quite good.

This one, like many of the others in the area, is short, but pretty. It makes a casual half day, and is generally suitable for all abilities. The canyon is not technical, but does have a few short downclimbs. These are easy to surmount by giving each other a spot or boost. Wandering up to the head of the canyon offers a spectacularly remote feel, and impressive views of the Dirty Devil canyon and several Entrada towers.
