When camping in the White River Narrows area for a couple of days, we were looking for some hikes a bit off the beaten path. This area, which I couldn’t find another name for, so have called Guzzler Panel, turned out to be a surprising gem!

The route visits an excellent panel next to the road just before the trailhead. This panel is on par with the panels in White River Narrows to the north and is an extensive panel.

From near the panel, the hike heads up a short narrow section of canyon to a side canyon we affectionately referred to as Boulder Canyon. This side canyon, a jumble of granite, is a scrambler and route finders dream. There are lots of small slots and side canyons to check out, as well as obstacles to route find through or around. On our 5 day trip to the area, this was by far my 5-year-old daughter’s favorite outing. She loved all the climbing challenges to be had.
