Eagle Mountain, Cedar Fort, and the surrounding area were visited extensively by ancient peoples. As recently as the mid-1800s, the Ute Indians inhabited Utah Valley and fished Utah lake extensively, with the lake being a substantial food source. The area around Utah lake is home to many petroglyphs.

Three Warriors Petroglyph is in Eagle Mountain. As of 2019, there are plans for the housing developer to make a park to showcase the petroglyphs found when surveying the site and several others in the area.

This particular panel is small and difficult to find without directions, though I thought it was interesting to visit and worth the visit.

There is a cross carved into the rock near the petroglyph, much more recent than the petroglyph. Could it be the work of someone in recent times when housing development started to increase nearby? Or perhaps something left by the Dominguez-Escalante Expedition of 1776 that would have passed very near this area? It is interesting to ponder.
