We went with the goal of staying in canyon. Built a deadman at 40 ft drop with three nice rocks. Slung a rock arch at the drop which comes right before Moki steps. FYI if you do this drop, (a 15 to 17 ft chute) it is crumbly and prolly impossible to upclimb as well as the Moki steps are very intimidating. So make sure you have a good size rock for a chock stone to get out as it's followed by a a small tight section and a 20 ft drop. We we're very fourtanate to have brought a rock with us else I may be telling you another story. Advanced anchor skills needed and I would not personally count on rocks being there to build with. |
