When I first saw the hand prints on this panel, I was absolutely convinced they were fake. They appeared too crisp to be an old pictograph. Other small panels in the area, convinced me the panel may be authentic. Several Escalante locals confirmed they believed they were indeed authentic. Magnificent!

The hand prints themselves are well worth this short hike. There are two other small, very weathered panels of petroglyphs nearby that help round out the trip. The trailhead is easy access by any vehicle, and the hike is quite family friendly. So, don't miss this one.
