Bow and Arrow Canyon is a great bang for your buck! You get 4 rappels in a half-day hike. All rappels have anchors that are easy to set up. No dead man's anchors required.
Rap1: ~14 ft; natural anchor around a live tree; webbing was already in place. There is an option to down climb this instead of rappelling, but it's a good warmup to your second rappel.
Rap2: ~120ft; two bolted anchors with webbing in place. We also set up a top belay anchored into a live tree about 30 ft back and a rock about 15 ft back. This is a super fun dangling rappel!
Rap3: ~60ft; natural anchor around a live tree; webbing was already in place. This was a very easy, very slanted rappel, especially having just done the 120 ft rap.
Rap4: ~80ft; natural anchor around a live tree; webbing was already in place. This rappel ends right next to the road which you then hike back about half a mile to get to your car.
Beautiful canyon and wasn't crowded when we went. The canyon isn't narrow so it doesn't get cold, and it was completely dry.
