Ding and Dang Canyons - San Rafael Swell
Date: 05/26/2019
Molly and I knocked this out in the morning. Molly worked through all of her fears and got through... and enjoyed it. There is quite a bit of water in the slots, some can be stemmed across and other could not (unless some sort of buddy stem is used). Hiking connecting the two canyons in the back was a bit hot. We went counter clockwise. Up ding was quite easy, with a few spots that were more challenging for Molly. Down Dang had 3 or 4 bigger drops (10-15 ft). Molly like using a hand line (I made out of 40 feet of p-cord) to get down these drops.

Little Wild Horse Canyon / Bell Canyon - San Rafael Swell
Date: 05/25/2019
Molly and I got to trail head early (8:30 am... ish) beat the crowds. Both canyons were dry. We went up bells and down little horse... We should have done the opposite. Little horse was very crowed by the time we got over there. Large families many with very little hiking experience and/or etiquette. Was difficult to pass slower groups. Canyon was beautiful, we would do it again (counter clockwise) if we are in the area again.

Goblin Valley - Southern Swell
Date: 05/24/2019
Molly and I went after driving from Denver. We checked out Molly's castle and Goblin's Lair. Then played around in the main valley. This park would be good for kids to play around in the Goblins.

South Fork of Bull Canyon (aka Chambers) - White Roost
Date: 03/31/2019
(DAN and I) Went light as possible (water, food, helmet, gloves and knee pads). Start is very tight. Required removal of helmet in one part to get head through. Awesome canyon... cambers sections are a great break from the tight slots. Canyon was completely dry. Exposed climbing and stemming that would not be good for people who get wigged out easily. Strenuous off width up climbing maybe be impossible for some. Required some buddy assists to reduce risk in some exposed sections. But again, awesome canyon... I would do it again... Dan said he would not.

Blue John Canyon - Robbers Roost
Date: 03/30/2018
Started at Little Blue Trailhead. (Dan and I) Went down Little Blue (dry), up Middle Fork. Stemming would be difficult for weaker members, a couple of exposed stems about 15 -20 feet off the canyon floor. After, we went down East fork. Ran into two cows. We were thinking of doing squeeze fork, but due to time did not. East fork had pools (were very cold). Required some buddy assists. After the slots it punches out to a wide wash. Hiked down canyon to the confluence with Blue John. Hiked up West Fork. Got back to the car as the sun was setting.
