Like its nearby neighbor Coal Canyon, Tusher Canyon marks the transition from the desert around Green River to the higher elevations of the Book Cliffs. The canyon was likely a common path for ancient people to transition between areas as seasons, temperatures, and game availability dictated.
The lovely canyon has a fairly large rock art panel in its middle section. The panel is excellent, but I also thought the rest of the canyon was really lovely as well. It is an excellent place to spend some time exploring and taking in the scenery. If I only had time to visit one site, it would be Coal Canyon, but this site would be a close second.
