Jeff and I did the complete Pool Arch with Jasmine, Sean and Allen after L2. It was pretty full, so we got wet above the waist. We did Crack 'n' Jill on 09/23/2024 after L1 with Jasmine, Jonathan, Alex, and Rob. Luckily, Amanda and Brian didn't have time to come along...

Have done this many times with Shelby & Dillon and Nick. Nice big rappel, then into a pool immediately afterwards. Can be dodged usually. Nice on day 2 with beginners.

Completed with Ray, Eden, and Olivia. I was the first one down on the rappels. Normally Ellen leads but she was not with us so Ray asked me to be the leader on the rappels. I was a bit apprehensive but was able to safely lead the rappels. Gaia GPS tracked us walking 6 miles. Had a great day at a leisurely pace. It took six hours with a stop for lunch and some rope instruction from Ray. Ray said it was his favorite canyon in the Moab area to date. I think my favorite hike to date was Medieval Arch (minus the mishap with Lillie's keys).

Was almost part of a deaf Jesus movie at the cave. Took 200' and fiddle. Canyon was mostly dry and was able to avoid all water. Did solo.

There were 3 gullies. The last gully is the one references in the road trip Ryan notes with the hike to the dome afterward. Several deep pools and 1 swimmer after a rain. Rappels 1(pool arch) and 3(beautiful views)were amazing. 2nd not so much. 3rd rappel is all of 200 ft. Fairly easy hike out on a 4x4 road. Lisa did a fantastic pencil jump into a pool. Last rappel was a rope stretcher. Dillon had to use a branch to hook the end. He also adequately inspired Steve and Danielle to go for the big rappel. Shocking, I know. Amateur Ashley got her shirt stuck. We took delightful reverse prom pics at the top of the dome. Great day. Rave reviews given to the guides. We go glen coco.

Great trip and a lot of fun! The water was pretty high though. In the short slot section it was up to my 6'1" brother in-law's shoulders.

Took the Kerrybrook older youth through this canyon with Alysen and Jordan as my seconds. Lots of youth, it took us from 2:30 pm to 10 pm to finish. Got back to camp at 11 for dinner. We moved efficiently for a big group. Met Dave Armesian and another adult leader in the canyon with a group of YM from their ward at the first rappel - the big one. We were able to bypass them and continue down canyon. Found a group of youth (from a family reunion) who were running and leaping off a ramp into a sand pit. I yelled at them to be safe in the canyon. Actually I yelled that I would punch the next person who jumped in the face, and that I was not going to carry their broken asses out of the canyon. Their group leader came and talked with me at the next rappel. At the third rappel, down on the ground at the exit was Scott Ballard. He was waiting for the rest of his YM, after splitting them into 2 groups. We efficiently got everyone down and pulled the ropes while it was still light but it was a close thing. We hiked back to the vehicles in the dark.

Went with friends to explore and revisit Rock of Ages. Found the end rappel a bit different than before, but not too challenging. We used a modified 2 stage rappel to get to the final bolted anchor and rap down to the bottom. The weather was beautiful, overcast with the occasional light misty rain.

Tyler, Clint and I did three canyons today and this was the middle canyon. The alternate rappel next to Pool Arch was great. You have to back track a minute around the left side to get to it. The final rappel was a little exposed and we couldn't tell if it would reach double stranded on a 200ft rope. Took us about 3.5 hours.

Very nice. 1st Big drop by the arch was impressive. Only needed to get one foot wet (pool below arch). Bolts at last rappel. Nice weather for us. Quick side hike up the fin definitely worth the time for the view.

Great canyon! It was a week after the rain and we had short swims through the narrows. All bolts have been cut at the last rap and there is a 10-15 sling around a flat rock near the edge, leaving the quick link about 8ft from the edge. However, with this sling the rap is closer to 120 ft. A doubled 60m will leave you short.

Forgot to mention that there are new owners of the kane creek parking area and the fee is $3/person

Freezing. Unprepared for the water, lol

This is the second time I've done this canyon. I've had a large pool to wade through every time, just after the first rap. There is one more section that was avoidable once and not avoidable once. A wet-suit would be overkill in my opinion. The last rap is very beautiful. Great spot for a fiddle stick!

Great hike and rappels. Watch out for poison ivy in the ascent gully and wildflowers up top. Fins are stunning but highly exposed. Horrible rope grooves on last rap, best to rap/handline/belay down to lower bolts, clip in on direct, and rig rope from there. A 60m rope would be enough from there but not from the higher bolt (maybe 30' of pull cord to make it?).

w/ Zak, Brett, Ferrin Fun, remember to keep heading in a straight direction before making the second side route unless you've done it before. Water was above knee to waist depending on height, I'm 6'. Got behind a guide group that would not let us play through :( At last repel to get around guided group we added a new anchor up and to the left of the final rap. Walk until you can look back and see the normal final rap then step down onto the edge you will see our webbing about 10' back from ledge attached to tree. Walk out was a little longer than we expected but still good. As for the fee, if you have a high clearance 4x4 you can drive until there is an obvious pull out on the left before a set of big steps heading down into the wash. This saved us ~$8 by paying only for the vehicle.

Great 3-4 hour canyon! 3 raps, the first and last are amazing! Very fun technical approach too.
