Left a trip report in the comments. Went with a group of 9 family members took 10.5 hrs to complete. Kayleigh's first canyoneering trip. Fall colors were gorgeous. Wetsuits made the trip more enjoyable but still experienced some cold as we waited for our turn to rappel. Canyon was spectacular! Would love to do it again. Climbs down in and back out were very steep. Views were incredible the whole way. |

Amazing, beautiful experience with a couple of "potentially dangerous mishaps" that turned out for the better. Water was cold and wind was breezy, but other than that, the weather was good. Water levels were high. A few things to note, due to rain or winter weather eroding some of the dirt on the initial steep downclimb to get to the first pool of water, one of the larger boulders (500+ lbs) in the downclimb was loose and when one of our party members stepped on it, it came rolling down. Luckily that person fell backwards and had their helmet on--as his helmet hit a boulder behind them when he fell. That person's leg narrowly missed getting pinned/crushed by the boulder when they fell backwards. Water was cold and wetsuits were used and appreciated. One of the larger fellows in our group (too tall for most wetsuits) was not able to use a wetsuit and got very chilled and wished they made one in his size (almost 7ft tall). Canyon was very beautiful and fun and awesome. The hike after you get out of the subway section is a lot farther/longer than what most people say. With all the zig-zagging across the river before the steep hike/climb out, people should be careful of slipping and falling. Multiple people in our party slipped and fell but nobody was injured. Also, on the upper parts of the trail to exit the canyon, there are a couple parts of the trail that are washed out where people should take care. If you slip in the wrong place, you could fall and there really isn't anything to stop you. The water levels were high and there was quite a bit of swimming. Side note: if you are planning on picking up your permit at the kolob canyon visitor center, be aware of their hours change due to short staffing. The visitor center closed on Sunday at 12 noon. |

Did own shuttle and started at sunrise. Lovely day, hike in was picturesque (mini wave!), passed a family with no wetsuits and possibly no gps (they ended up following us after asking for directions). Some downclimbs, swims, and wading. Just a few rappels and we used anchors on right for last rap into subway. (group camping near us had an accident at the base of this rap - took them 12 hrs to get out!). Hike out was same as i remembered. Just over 9 hours for the group of 7 of us. Ed, Patricia, Tom, April, Ellie, Chris, and myself. |

This was my second time doing the Subway. This time we added Das Boot. The top down is truly the only way to enjoy this hike. |

With Aud (HBD Leah!). Started at 9:50a, finished at 3p. leapfrogged with one other group of 2 guys from the trailhead. beautiful clear water, fun splashing around. happy to have wetsuits for an anything goes mentality. a few swims. Not sure I consider it an ultra-classic, but glad to have experienced it. |

Trip with Hunter and Whitney. Navigation was easy with GPS and I think I could do it again without if needed having gone through once. Social trails are usually pretty obvious. Sarah and I wore shorty wetsuits and the day was mid to upper 80s.. I thought shorty wetsuits were just about perfect. We didn't try the first downclimb because it was a great place to instruct Whitney and Hunter on a first rappel. This canyon wasn't technically demanding but was absolutely stunning and Sarah's favorite. |

First subway of the year/decade! We thought we’d have to track through snow, but this was my first route lead, and Meg and I KILLED IT. 5 women, my first all women canyoneering trip. We had drysuits and like, 3 layers and we were sweating the whole time haha. |

What an amazing canyon, the approach is just majestic. 6 of us enjoyed the canyon mostly on our own. Large group behind us caught us at the first rap were we leapfrogged a slower group. Pool are just awesome. No wet suits, some got a little chilly at the final rap, but warmed up soon after in the sun. We did it in 10 hours, took our time and enjoyed, played in the pools, slide were we can! |

Wore 2/3 farmer john wetsuit. Highs in 60s/70s. Worked well. First 2 pools ice cold, then warmer from spring. With 6 people, took 8.5 hours. (long time changing and taking pictures at end) |

Amazing in every respect. The last rappel was the only one where we needed a rope, even with 5 kids from 10-15. The upper pools were quite cold, but refreshing given the high temps. |

Guessing on date. Very few repels and a couple could be down climbed but one in particular drops off with the water into a small pool and you need to repel off of it to stay safe |
