We used my truck as an anchor. Next time I’m going to bring my rope sleeve for where it goes over the edge. The rappel that is noted as optional but difficult is pretty tricky, I’d recommend bringing a rope if it’s your first time incase it’s more than you bargained for. The canyon was totally dry. It was really fun. I had low expectations from the ratings, but it was a pleasant surprise. |

Down Egypt 2 and up 3 was the way to go. 300ftr is as simple as such a large rappel gets. Free hanging on occasion, but with ledges to weight your feet and add friction. Rest of the canyon is so-so. |

Fun. With high skinny slots - did the 30m rap - easy to find. Hike out on west side was easy. Knee deep in 2 spots |

A long drive on a very washboard road. Thanks Saul and Judy! Fun but a lot of bad driving for a relatively short canyon? No water, a bit of downclimbing. Would have linked with Egypt 1 but the skies looked threatening. |

The big wall rappel is what makes this canyon great. Took us 3 hours to complete including the big wall rappel and exit. |

First rappel was a blast! rest of the canyon is an adventure. Pretty good challenge to try and keep your feet dry. |

THAT'S A BIG RAPPEL. First ever 300ish foot rapp. Sidney and I tied her 60m dynamic climbing rope to my 110 ft rope and passed the knot most of the way down. Beautiful. A lot of wading through pools up to waist deep, and I held my first frog in a pothole! |
